These small cylinders are often used as triggering devices for Hall Effect sensors. They are also useful for small arts & crafts applications . The NM-D21SH neodymium disc magnet is made from super strong N42SH NdFeB( Nd2Fe14B), coated with Nickel as neodymium magnets get oxidized easily.

This size is also available in grade N52 with black nickel plating as part number NM-D21B-N52 and in grade N42 with silver nickel plating as part number NM-D21.
